Set in the skate park of Seregno (MI), the photo reportage "Skate of Mind" aims to show the life of some young skateboarders. This sport, very often undervalued and stereotyped, implies discipline, precision, dedication and passion. The intention is to give visibility and to represent, through the testimonies of Francesca, Momy and Roger, the sacrifices, satisfactions and everything that comes from practising this sport. Without limits of time and space, skateboarding is the passion of many young people (and not only!) who open themselves up to new knowledge and new challenges. It is not only fun and sharing, it is also a lifestyle.
Francesca, the only girl skater presented in the reportage, represents a gender minority but, in spite of preconceptions, she's totally integrated within the group.
